Conversations

So I am officially back home which means I am back to babysitting like crazy. I have forgotten how much I missed all of the kids while I was in Logan. Luckily I will be hanging out with them all summer to make up for lost time. My favorite part of watching them is the conversations we have and the things they tell me. Here are some of winners of the week.

Brinn

Brinn: Abee why aren't you a mom yet?

Me: Because I am not married yet.

Brinn: Oh...... why aren't you married yet?

Me: I haven't found a husband.....

Brinn: (she thinks about this for a minute) Abee when are you going to find a husband?

Me: I have no idea.......

Kaleton

Kale had managed to find a catepillar and brought him into the house to play with

Me: Kale why don't you take him outside? He will like it much better out there

Kale: (Kale looks at me distraughtly )Abee that is a bad idea. He is my best friend.

Me: My bad

Christian and Lisa

I was sitting on the ground with them playing with their dog and their mom had gone outside to get something and left the back door open. Something outside kind of smelled funky.

Lisa: What's that smell?

Christian: (without thinking twice about his answer turns to her and says) It is just albree.

I didn't know what to say to that.... I had just showered....

Florida

To celebrate the end of the school year, Sara and I ventured down to Florida to visit the fam and get some much needed beach time. Some of my family friends own a condo right on the beach and, lucky for us, they are generous enough to let us use it when we come to town. The condo is amazing (my dream is to own one of my own some day). Here are some pictures....

Sara and I stayed here for a good portion of the trip and the other nights were spent at my Grandparents. We had a pretty good time on the trip. Most of our time was spent sitting on the beach and eating.... Nothing that I can complain about.

We mangaged to see most of my cousins while we were there. My cousin Maryjane was visiting at the same time from Georgia and came and spent some time at the beach with us. This is her little boy Hayden.

Sara and I had a few mishaps while were were there. One of the nights we got back to the condo pretty late and discovered that the lock on the door was jammed. We spent a fair amount of time getting to know the security guard while he tried to get the key to work. Our attempt was unsucessful and we ended up having to drive to a friends house to stay the night. The next morning we attempted again with the mateniance guys. After they couldn't get the key to turn, we called a locksmith who also was unsucessful. After two and a half hours of waiting the mateniance guys sawed off the door knob so we could get into the condo. Good times.....

I managed to wake up for sunrise... Despite the early hour it was worth the pretty site.

Final moments

It was a bit weird packing up and leaving my Logan apartment. I was the first one to leave. It took me a bit longer than expected to pack up. I am amazed how much we managed to fit in our tiny apartment. I think all of my stuff multiplied while I was there too.... My closet at home does not seem to hold it all. Thank heaven for these shopping carts!

Last night here.....

Tonight is my last night in Logan... It hasn't phased me yet that I am moving out... I still have a lot of cleaning to do. Anyways for our last night together me and all of my roomates decided to go out to Olive Graden.

I just realized that I haven't posted a picture of all of us. So here it goes this Liz, Kelsie, Sara, Marchele and Me.

After dinner Me, Sara, and Liz went around to a few Logan sites to take pictures. The main event was going up to the temple grounds. The Logan Temple is really B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!

Finals....

Finals time has finally come..... I have been dreading it, but at the same time I keep in mind that once I am done taking test I am on summer break! Luckily I only have three finals that are spread out. Today is the dreaded math final which I have been studying my little heart our for, Tuesday is Women and Gender Studies, Thursday is my marriage and family relations final and then I am done!!! I can't believe I have survived my first year of college....
