I am getting married this week! Crazy. It feels like this week would never actually come. I have been so busy juggling work (a lot of work), wedding plans, Benson time (there never seems to be enough of this :)) and family time. I haven't had too many moments to just stop, soak in and enjoy everything that is going on. Lucky for me, I took the rest of the week off from work(and next week). I am ready to see family, sleep in, GO TO THE TEMPLE, and get MARRIED at the end of the week. I get to relax and enjoy every minute of it! I can hardly wait!

I am getting married in 7 days! It is so surreal.... I couldn't be more ready for it to come. Here are some more of my engagements. I LOVE LOVE LOVE how our pictures turned out!

Swiss Days

The last two years I have made stuff for swiss days (for my bow tying job), but I have never gone up there to see what it is about. Benson and I decided to make a day of it and took the bike up to midway. I have to say it did not disappoint. There was good food (the scones were DELICIOUS!), tons of cool stuff to buy (we bought a really cool magnet board for our room), and good company (we ran into Herr Mangum... what more could we ask for?!). I think we will be going back next year!

My current life revolves around wedding planning. There is always so much to be done. Lucky for me I am blessed with A LOT of help. It has made my job very easy.

Some current events in the pre wedding planning include:

Re-piercing my ears. One ear had closed in and the other hadn't. It was a problem.

Dress bought, bussled and bridals taken!

Invitations out

Parting gift labeled

Food ordered

Flowers picked out

My stuff (besides my essentials) moved to our new place

Table center pieces done.

There are probably a million other things I am leaving out, but we have a lot done. There is a never ending list of things to do.

Currently my life has been consumed with work, benson and wedding planning. I have come to find out that there is so much more involved in planning a reception than I could have ever imagined. I am really loving it!

It's official!

Last night it became official!!! I am getting married September 18th in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. I have other pictures, but I am nannying and don't have my computer.

For now I will just post this one and tell you the story that lead up to me getting it.

We have had the date planned since before he was released. While he was out we had only hinted we wanted to seriously date when he got home and never actually used the word marriage. His parents went and picked him up and spent a week touring his mission with him. We talked on the phone every night and with the help of some good intentioned harrassment given to him by his brothers, we set a date (we did that on June 29th)! It was a bit nerve racking not seeing him and having a date set, but luckily seeing him things only got better.

Last night he managed to convince me....or had shelli tell me she needed my help looking through wedding decorations at the saratoga house (thanks shelli!)... my mom put the kids that I am watching to bed so I could run out there. While I was out there he took slightly reluctant me on a fourwheeler ride (it was storming and I tried to convince him we could go another night... he was pretty set on going ..) to a sentimental spot we had before the mission. He propsed there and I couldn't be more happy!!!!! I love him!!!

Last Friday was the Tim Mcgraw concert. Russ and I had bought tickets months before the concert for us and some dates. We had a close call with our tickets (they gave us the wrong tickets... we had to rebuy tickets just hours before it started). We made it there though. We sat hours in the hot heat waiting for it to start.
It was worth the wait. Lady A opened and was followed by Tim. Both were amazing live!

After a 24-hour car ride, I am back from Texas. We drove straight through. We had 4 drivers and thus there was no need for sleeping stops. Benson was stubborn and drove the whole time though. Overall the drive wasn't too bad (except the last 5 hours through Wyoming) and I discovered Bensons love for a walkie talkie. I am glad to be back and have him here with me. I thought I would share a few photos of our last days in Texas. We went to the Blue Bell icecream factory and discovered how their icecream was made. Good stuff.

I couldn't be happier to have him home! It is going to be a crazy next couple of months for me and him:)

Benson and I were able to venture to the Houston Temple this last saturday. It is such a pretty temple and a fun little day trip.

TEXAS

I haven't been so good about giving a Texas update. Let's just say I have been pretty busy and I am loving every minute of it!

Last night I did a Black and White dinner with some of my favorite girls. I spent a lot of time with these girls in High School. We took the same AP classes and shared a (very nerdy) love of room 133 together.

These girls are some of the most incredible people I know. We don't get together enough, but when we do it is a beautiful thing. It is weird that life has taken us in all different directions. We have all done our own things, yet remain great friends. I love themed dinners and am hoping we start doing this more often.

On a bit of a different note... I see this boy tomorrow!!!!
I have been talking to him on the phone all week. I couldn't be more happy, giddy, and excited to see him!!! We get two weeks of play time with his family in Texas and then I am bringing home with me!

Las Vegas

I went on a little get away Vegas get away this weekend for Bri-Bri's farewell. On Friday we loaded up the car and made our way south.

It was blazing hot which made it perfect pool weather. We did a little night and day swimming. While we were shopping it was 109 outside. I thought my shoes were going to melt to the pavement. I am still not sure why most of Vegas shopping is outdoors. Good thing the stores make it worth it. I managed to find the H&M:)

Before we went shopping on Saturday we hit up Long John Silvers. Selina had never had a hushpuppy before so we made sure she had the experience.
She was hesitant at first, but managed to eat the whole thing.
One of my favorite parts of Vegas is the 7-elevens (I think it is because of the heat) I have a things for slurpies and they have 7-elevens on every corner. Viva Las Vegas!

Today was Brian's Utah farewell. I had a crazy busy week and it was nice to end the note with lazy family time. My uncle Brad came into town so there was actually quite a crowd.

Bri Bri did an awesome job! I am going to miss this boy. It will be weird not to have him around, but I am excited for him. He is off to Chile July 7th.

p.s. I am still counting down and I see this boy in 11 days from tomorrow!

Countdown

I have always been a countdown person. Not sure why, but I love countdowns and tend to get really excited about them. Birthdays, trips.... I will find any occasion to make a countdown. I currently have a count down until I see this face

Tommorrow will make it 22 days! 22 DAYS! I am REALLY excited for this countdown to come to an end!

Summer wouldn't be the same without a little bit of this... and a few rose ceremonies....

It should be some good seasons and summer!

Russell and Aislinn's graduation was on Friday. I attended the event feeling a little bit old. I can't believe I have been graduated for two years. Where does the time go?

I was glad that they have shortened the speaker time and I was impressed with how fast it went by. The longest part was the name reading. Not surprising.

Anywho I am really excited for these two. Russ will be joining me at UVU and Aislinn will be heading up North to BYU-I.
World Class for Life!

I thought I would share a few happenings in my life to keep you all updated

I am living in a full house. It is weird going from only me and selina at an apartment at night to my house with all five siblings living there. It is an adjustment, but I am glad to be back (I missed my bed and bathroom) and to be on break from school.

I am currently in search of season 2 of Gossip Girl. My family has lost their season. I have been watching it nightly with Hannah and Selina, but without season 2 we cannot expose hannah to more of chuck and blair. I have checked two walmarts and a target and it is no where to be found. We are desperate and it is sad.

I am currently working A LOT. Most of my time is divided between my jobs. My bow tying job is down to two people which means I am there a lot. Rose and I are getting a lot of one on one time. I hadn't really anticipated working that much there this summer, but I am and it keeps me busy. I am currently being trained for costumer service which is exciting and will be a nice break from production. The only down fall from working is that I have started seeing flower clips when I close my eyes. Luckily I will have a break from that job in the next little bit when I start nannying for families over weekends in June.

That is basically it from my end. Things are uneventfully busy for me now, but summer has only just begun.

Meet Oscar.

My sister brought him to me from back East. I am quite taken with him. Can't wait to actually use him....For now he sits in my room as decoration.

This weekend was Cassi and Blake's wedding. Final wedding for May. So happy for them!

Me and selina went down to St. George for Bridgette's wedding. May is the month of weddings and Selina has been my wedding buddy.. We made the trip, ate out for every meal, spent most of the day at the pool and then went to Bridgette's reception (I can now officially say I have been to Parowan). It was a short trip, but worth the drive (it was 89 degrees. Perfect pool weather) . Love St. George!

Newest guilty pleasure.... It makes me wish more than ever life was more like a musical.... Too bad I can't really sing.

I can't get enough GLEE!

My best friend(my other half) is officially married. She looked BEAUTIFUL and everything was perfect! Happy day!

Starting off the summer with a wedding (can't believe Katie's wedding is finally here) and then heading down south to hang out with some of my favorite people. Can't wait!

He is coming to Utah July 2010and Yes... I am going to his concert. My mother bought tickets for me and Russ to make up for
the fact they are leaving us children behind while they go to Florida. Couldn't be more excited!

It does give me an excuse to put off studying for finals and turn on Gilmore Girls while I clean.....

This past week my car got sick. I don't have very positive feelings towards my car.... It was never the same after the accident. I took it in and it turned out that it needed completely new breaks... not a happy things. After talking with my mother and father, hours of car shopping and talking to the sales man I am now sporting this.

It is my dads old car and he ended up getting an upgrade. I cannot say how happy I am to be behind the wheel of this! Happy day!

Other happenings in my life include gearing up for finals. Last week of classes for me and I have three tests and one large paper to go before the semester is out. Also moving out this week! Summer is basically here!

Last Year

With finals approaching and college year number two wrapping up, I have been thinking a lot of where I was at this time of year last year. I have been missing Logan just a little bit.... I think I may just be missing these girlies more.

I learned so much from living with these girls. We had a lot of hard times and differences, but I wouldn't take back living with them for the world. We had so much fun together! I think I grew the most and learned the most about myself from living with them. It seems like a life time ago that I was kicking it in Snow Hall. Where does the time go?
