My spot on the Quad

So here is my view from my study spot on the Quad. This my favorite spot on all of campus. I have a couple of hours in between classes so I take that time to read here. I love it. I am a little bit sad that I will have to find a new spot when the snow comes.

Poster no more....

So tonight I get back from doing laundry at Jackie's house (I am eternally endebted to Jackie for letting me crash at her place and do my laundry. The time I spend over there is Heaven sent!!!) and there is no poster on our door. I didn't take notice at first, until Marchele and Kelsie point it out. They have huge grins on their face. (Kelsie, Tiffani, and Marchele were totally against the poster and were worried that it would ruin their chances for a relationship with the male species) I am a bit concerned, part 1 because, as much as I hated what the poster represented, Sarah and Courtney put a lot of time and effort into making it and 2 I hate confrontation. So to make a long story short they convinced some boys in the hall to steal the poster and hide it somewhere. Once the boys took the poster and desposed of it, the girls checked all the floors to make sure it could not be located by Sarah and Courtney. Luckily I had no part in the whole thing and hope Sarah and Courtney don't find out what really happened to my poster. If they do it will not be pretty.....

Roomies

The picture below has nothing to do with the title, but I told Katie I would show her a picture of my Ecuadorian skirt. I have very fond feelings towards the skirt (colorful things excite me). So here I am in it ready to go to church. Which (another random fact about my life) I have officially recieved a calling. I am the family home evening mother over a group of six apartments. I felt so solid about this calling (I am just grateful that I am not the Relief Society president) and think it will be a good way for me to actually meet my neighbors and branch out a bit (I know I am a bit pathetic and haven't gotten around to meeting to many people on my floor...). If anyone has any good FHE activity ideas let me know.....
So I finally took a picture of all of my roomies. It is a bit crowded, but I was determined to have a snap shot of all of us together. So on the bottom left is Kelsie, above her is Sarah, to the right of my head (sorry I am taking over the picture) is Courtney, right next to Courthney is Tiffani, and last of all is Marchele at the bottom right (she is the one I share a room with.)

Food Whores....

I will start this post by defining the phrase food whore. A food whore is someone who uses food in order to win over the affection slash love of males. My roomies are those someones. I got back from a movie night at Brooke's appartment to find this hanging on our door..... They have posted a flavor of the night and plan to change it nightly to a different flavor. I am not sure how I feel about the whole situation. All I know is that if you want a guy to know you like him, don't offer him food. He will have no idea that food equals feelings. He just wants free food.....

Switzerland

So living in an apartment with five other girls can be a treat. Things have intesified a bit with school starting and I have officially become the Switzerland in my apartment. Sarah and Courtney don't like Tiffani and Kelsie (particularly Tiffani) and Tiffani and Kelsie think they are weird. Here I am in the middle just hanging out. Both groups tell me what bothers them about the other groups. Sarah and Courtney are a bit more verbal about it than the others. They won't say anything about what is going on in their lives in front of Tiffani, Kelsie or Marchele. They are pretty obvious about it too. Let's just say I am glad that I am neutral ground at the moment. I am not sure what I am going to do however when the two seperate groups confront each other with their true feelings. I will let you know how that turns out....
